Trending and Upcoming SEO for Therapists: Practices to Use for Your Mental Health Business (and Why!)

1. Using Artificial Intelligence to create SEO for Therapists’ Websites

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how people interact with online content. An algorithm in Google’s AI arsenal that is particularly noteworthy is its RankBrain. It was released several years ago and has become an integral part of Google’s search engine ranking system over the past few years. RankBrain is capable of understanding and interpreting the context behind a user’s search query. That results in more relevant search results! This means that users are more likely to find what they are looking for faster. Making it easier to navigate the web and find the information they need. Over 8.5 billion searches are conducted on Google every day, which amounts to a total of 99,000 searches every second.

That’s a lot of people asking Google the same question over and over again – “How do I get out of this infinite loop?!”

2. Adapting to Voice Search Technology when Creating SEO for Therapists

The popularity of voice search technology has soared in recent years thanks to technology like Google Assistant, Apple Siri, and Amazon Alexa. Voice search technology is changing the way people search for information and products. It is important to use long phrases that people use in their everyday conversations to have the best results in voice searches. In fact, 55% of homes are expected to have a smart speaker by 2022.

Make sure your keywords are relevant for voice search marketing. You can find long phrases that people use in everyday conversation by looking at how they speak. Longer, more natural phrases tend to produce better results in voice searches.

Fun Fact: In 1952, the first voice recognition device was created by Bell Laboratories and they named it Audrey.

3. Target Mobile Versions of your Site

In today’s search engine world, Google indexes websites based on their mobile versions. That means they look at the mobile versions primarily rather than the desktop versions. Mobile traffic is currently more than 50% of all web traffic. 73% of internet users will be able to access the internet only using a mobile device by the year 2025, so this change is quite logical.

You can assess your mobile site’s effectiveness using Google’s mobile-friendly test. You can also check out the “mobile usability” report in Google Search Console. Googlebot will also not load content that requires user interaction, like clicking or swiping.

Fun Fact: In December 2022, Google is projected to have handled around 84.08% of global searches. Bing and Yahoo handled 9% and 2.55%, respectively.
